Winery

History

Bodega Sánchez was born in the 1960s, from the winemaking legacy of Juan Sánchez. Located at the foot of the Uco Valley, in Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza, Argentina. Our history is marked by tradition, perseverance, and a deep connection with the land.

A family project with over 60 years of history in the heart of Mendoza’s winemaking region. Since its inception in 1960, it has cultivated its own vineyards in Luján de Cuyo, consolidating an identity rooted in work, passion, and generational continuity.

Today, led by Federico Sánchez and his children, the winery is undergoing a new phase that combines experience, tradition, and a renewed commercial vision.

Technology

The winery has a modern structure and currently has a capacity of 1,540,000 liters in stainless steel tanks of varying sizes to judiciously distribute the finest products. This volume is distributed across 70 tanks of 33, 55, 75, 100, 150, 200, 230, 250, 275, 460, and 550 hl.

We currently have more than 30 French and American oak barrels, light and medium toasted, located in a dedicated temperature-controlled area. Stainless steel machinery, a sorting conveyor, a grinder, and a screw pump are used for reception and milling.

The main refrigeration system has a capacity of 100,000 frigories/hour. The facility prioritizes product quality from the outset, which is why it has adopted pre-cooled grape milling. There is also a hot water generating system to meet specific demands. All the tanks are connected to the hot-cold circuits so that each one can independently operate one or the other system.

To complete the process, a 100 Hl pneumatic press and various conveyor belts are available.
